Frequently Asked Questions

What Is an IV?

IV stands for Intravenous which means “ in the vein”. IV infusions are provided by using a small catheter that’s placed directly into your vein. There is a small poke with a small needle, but once the vein is accessed, the needle comes out and the plastic catheter is left in its place until your infusion is complete.

What is IV Therapy?

IV Therapy is a safe and efficient method for delivering fluids, vitamins and minerals directly into the bloodstream. This method bypasses the digestive tract which allows for 100% absorption of all nutrients. Our services are meant to act as supplements and not to replace oral hydration.

Is IV Therapy Safe?

Yes, we only use reputable and accredited compounding pharmacies for our ingredients. These infusions are administered by a Registered Nurse.

How long does it take, and what can I expect during my treatment?

The entire process will take 45-90  minutes to complete. There are a few forms to complete prior to your infusion as well as a quick medical assessment. During this time you can relax, recline, read, listen to music on your headphones, and just take time for yourself.

Are there any side effects?

Side effects rarely occur if at all. If they do, they are usually minor and short lived. Bruising or bleeding at the IV site, warm or cool sensation in the arm, chest or stomach and tasting the vitamins or having a vitamin smell in your urine.True allergic reactions are extremely rare. However, if you experience throat swelling, pruritic body rash, dangerously low blood pressure, or symptoms associated with anaphylaxis following administration of an injection, visit your nearest emergency room. If you know you are allergic to any of the ingredients — please let the staff know prior to your appointment!

Does it Hurt?

Everyone’s pain tolerance is different, but we strive to stick everyone just once with our experienced Registered Nurses. That said, we do offer lidocaine and a numbing spray if you would like!

How often should I get an IV?

The frequency of IV therapy is determined on a patient by patient basis. We take a customized approach to suit your individual needs. For preventative health and wellness, we recommend weekly or bi-monthly infusions to  balance out any vitamin deficiencies. Some of the treatments are a quick fix and are only needed when the ailment is active ie: migraine, hangover.

Can I get a group discount?

Of course! Schedule a group session of 5 people or more, receive a 15% discount on all drips!

When can I get an appointment for IV Therapy?

We are mobile and flexible with our hours. Schedule your appointment using our booking page, and we will do our best to make it happen.

Is this better than taking vitamins orally?

Yes, vitamins and nutrients taken orally are only partially absorbed. Getting vitamins through the IV process is a direct route to the bloodstream and your cells for maximum absorption. We recommend continuing your daily vitamin regimen as well.
